The consortium is planning to organise a three days workshop that will take place at the UNESCO-IHE building in Delft in the Netherlands on 13 till 15 of June 2012.
Programme:
- 13 June: Elevated latrines.
- 14 June: improved desludging options
- 15 June: sludge disposal and treatment
In this workshop we are planning to bring together some suppliers (Butyl and Evenproducts are amongst the people attending), some knowledge centres (Universities from The Neyherlands, Indonesia, Germany, Thailand and South Africa), and some humanitarian organisations (as OXFAM GB, UNICEF, UNHCR, the IFRC, MSF and others) to discuss the 3 sanitation option. One of the ideas behind the workshop in brief is to have discussions about technical requirements for products from the humanitarian sector, and link them up with new ideas concepts or technologies from suppliers and Universities.
WASTE, together with Aldus - building innovation, will implement the project on behalf and with support of the consortium.
