WASTE is frequently asked by the Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Dutch Embassies, and other international organisations to prepare and conduct study visits of the Dutch environmental and solid waste sectors.
The options in the Netherlands and surrounding countries are many and varied.
These study visits are uniformly evaluated as both extremely useful and unusually serious educational experiences by the participants
Often these visits are combined with training and seminar sessions and group assignments
The focus of these study visits is, first, that participants understand the extent to which unseen social covenants and negotiated agreements shape the visible parts of Dutch waste management infrastructure and activities, and, secondly, that they understand the relationship between what they see here and the more familiar situation in the home country.
