This report reflects the results of a case-study research done by Esha Shah and Kasturba Sambaraju, commissioned by WASTE. It focuses on small and microenterprises, community involvement and their invaluable role in urban waste management. 5 composting organisations located in Bangalore are analysed, a corporation, a private company and three NGOs/ CBOs.
This publication aims at forming a picture of the role the various stakeholders play in urban waste management.
Similar researches on the topic of composting were undertaken in the Philippines, Egypt and Nepal. By publishing these case-study reports, we explicitly aim at divulging the data gathered during the researches.
