Independent Supervisory Board of WASTE Foundation

The Supervisory Board supervises the policy and strategy of the management and the general course of affairs at WASTE Foundation. In addition, the Supervisory Board acts as an advisory body to the management.

The Supervisory Board is composed of the following persons:

Rolien Sasse

Present: International consultant, mediator and strategic advisor to the Water, Peace and Security partnership. Member of the Board of Water for Life Foundation.

Past: Global Head of Humanitarian Campaigning (interim) at Oxfam, Executive Director of Simavi, Board member of Netherlands Water Partnership and member of the Steering Group of Sanitation and Water for All.

 Pritha Hariram

Pritha Hariram is a Business Development Manager at FMO, the Dutch Development Bank in the Netherlands, where she currently leads the development and financing of bankable water projects together with private companies and public agencies across Asia, Africa and Latin America. Prior to joining FMO, Pritha was the global lead for the Water Supply and Sanitation Services program at the International Water Association (IWA). Prior to joining IWA, she was an Urban Development Specialist with the Asian Development Bank where her primary role was to lead the identification, development, implementation and administration of large loans and grants for urban water and sanitation programs in South Asia. Pritha also has extensive experience in hazard analysis and risk management of drinking water and wastewater systems to safeguard public health and improve operation and maintenance efficiency from her work with water utilities in Australia.

Pritha is also an experienced water supply, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) specialist having worked on humanitarian relief and development projects in the Asia Pacific region. She has over 17 years of experience in the water and sanitation sector and 10 years of which she has dedicated in accelerating finance across the value chain to ensure access to safe water and sanitation is available to all.

Nico Terra

Nico Terra has over 35 years of experience in managing professional service organisations in their development. The last 10 years, he focused specifically on NGOs in the field of water, sanitation and hygiene (WASH) with expertise in: strategy development and (change) management. He works as consultant and interim manager, developing and managing large scale programmes in the field of water and sanitation services for the poorest in Africa and Asia.

In the past, he was CEO of IRC International Water and Sanitation Centre and director the Dutch WASH Alliance/WASH Alliance International. He currently is Board Member of the Max Foundation, an NGO focusing on providing water and sanitation services in Bangladesh and Ethiopia..
