Opportunities for job creation

This report maps and analyses plastic waste value chains in the cities of Bamako, Koulikoro, Kayes, Gao in Mali. A process which enables the identification of bottlenecks hampering the functioning of the solid waste value chain and activities with the highest potential for job creation.

This study was carried out as part of the Value Chain Development and Youth Employment in Mali (EJOM) project. A project funded by the European Union and led by SNV in partnership with WASTE, ICCO (now CordAid) and APEJ. A project designed to contribute to the development of economic opportunities and to create jobs for young men and women and for returning migrants in Mali.
