Tjitske Leemans

I am an environmental engineer with over 20 years’ experience as advisor and programme manager in WASH and environment in The Netherlands, Dutch Antilles and Mozambique. My passion is to facilitate teams where people feel connected and are able to contribute to their best ability towards the common goal. I am a structured and result oriented person with a creative and flexible mind which helps to put visions in practice.

During my career I have worked on a large variety of topics and projects, e.g. special planning for the Province of South Holland, natural stream restoration and water containment for Waterboard de Dommel in Brabant, solid waste and faecal sludge management with municipalities in Mozambique, customer service and communications for Utilities on Bonaire, Sint Maarten and Curação, management support for drinking water companies in Mozambique.

During the 13 years I worked in Mozambique, I gained a lot of knowledge about development work and I found out that my persistency and empathy lead to desired results. My wish is to use my knowledge and skills to improve the well-being of people and their environment on all scales.

I am very happy with my current role as COO of FINISH Mondial. My main focus is on coordination between the partners and the six countries, contract management, proposal writing, financial management and reporting of the programme.
